Rae Armour began her music career with a popular rock band in her hometown of Edmonton, Alberta. After moving to Vancouver in 1982, she released an independent contemporary pop album entitled 'On Track', which garnered her double winner status of the Pacific Songwriters Association Write-On Awards. Throughout her career she has performed solo concerts on many international stages including in the USA, Australia, and Europe; and was an opening act for Faith Hill in Whistler, B.C.
Rae has recently released her 2nd CD entitled 'Next Move.' Cliff Hanger Records in New York described her voice as "sometimes raspy strong like Melissa Etheridge and at other times will melt you with sweetness and soul."
Her warm, dusky voice and musical versatility pleases fans of both roots and rock. The CD starts out country-pop, and ends on a truly uplifting and inspirational note. And then there's that cheeky wit.
A little on the outrageous side, Rae Armour's charismatic stage presence is always a delightful surprise!
