Meg Tennant was born in Sault Ste. Marie and has been writing and singing since her high school days in Northern Ontario. From Toronto's cafes and coffeehouses to west coast folk festivals and concerts, Meg has delighted audiences with her songs of lightness and wonder.
Her first CD Driving With You reached the #1 position on the Folk/Roots chart at Village 900 in Victoria, and is currently receiving airplay on CBC across Canada. Meg's song 'Buddy's Back' was recorded by west coast bluegrass artist Tammy Fassaert on her second CD Corner of My Eye produced by renowned mandolinist John Reischman.
Meg has performed at many songwriter showcases (Bluebird North, Just Singin' Round, Grrrls With Guitars) and has opened for Eliza Gilkyson and Tom Russell at the Rogue Folk Club. Recently, she co-wrote the theme song for a documentary feature film called 'The Nature of Beauty' written, produced and directed by Mimi Mills. Meg is passionate about songwriting and continues to attend songwriting workshops and retreats.
